Welcome to the 2009 North of England Conference - 13th and 14th March 2009

This year’s North of England Conference has a strikingly different theme. We are seeking to lift up the eyes of church leaders beyond our own immediate situations and, indeed, beyond the borders of our own land to see what we, as small local churches in the North of England, can do for the health and progress of the Kingdom of God in the wider world.

Our great hope is that the conference will fire local church leaders to see both the importance and real possibility of even small fellowships across the North of England being fully global churches. That, we believe, would be both pleasing to the Lord and invigorating for our congregations.

And of course besides quality addresses there’s also plenty of time for discussion and the sharing of news items as we enjoy fellowship informally over coffee and mealtimes together. This also fosters a greater unity between churches and can be a means to greater effectiveness in the work of the Gospel throughout the North of England.
